Oxfam Water Challenge
Water Industry Training proudly supported the Oxfam Water Challenge 2011 on Saturday, March 26.
The Oxfam Water Challenge is an annual Top Town-style event held at stunning locations across New Zealand. It is open to those in the water sector, as well as any related organisations including charitable groups. The funds raised go to Oxfam Water for Survival work.

The team raised $656 for Oxfam’s Water for Survival programme in the corporate challenge. It involved more physical activity that the team bargained on!
We swam hard, shuttled fast and subbed our team in and out of running and obstacle courses.
We finished! And while we did not come first in the race, we had a great strategy and an approach to teamwork that made sure we finished in style. It was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work and the subsequent sore muscles that ensued are nothing compared to what those that have to collect water each day in adverse circumstances go through.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in completing this challenge. A heartfelt thanks to the very generous donations received from family, friends and colleagues.
