Our vision is to lead industry education and training.
Water Industry Training, in partnership with the Government and all New Zealand peoples in its industries, will:
1) Identify employment, education and training needs
2) Manage the delivery of quality education and training
3) Develop and maintain national qualifications and quality standards
4) Promote the value and benefits of education and training
5) Promote career development
6) Promote positive employment relationships
7) Develop strategic alliances
8) Through education and training assist wealth creation
This will be achieved by:
- increasing industry and Government funding and optimising financial performance
- providing high quality programmes that meet Water Industry Training's constituent industries requirements
- ensuring continued stakeholder support and commitment
- proactively growing the business
- positioning the organisation to align with the Government's tertiary education strategies
- working in collaboration with all other tertiary education organisations
- working towards creating a seamless education system from secondary school to university.
